halo reach noble map pack review

You can’t get enough of Halo: Reach, can you? Of course you can’t. Bungie‘s latest installment in the beloved sci-fi shooting series has been around for about 3 months and people just keep playing it non-stop and asking for more. Well, the wait is over, as the first batch of DLC just got released in the form of theNoble Map Pack; three new and cleverly designed maps to keep you from spending time with your family this holiday season.
Noble team, double time!
Upon downloading the DLC, you’ll get three maps; TempestAnchor 9 and Breakpoint, each one with unique virtues that set them apart from the rest and work really well in some particular game modes. These three maps seem to be the best the game has to offer so far, as Bungie clearly spent a lot of effort in making this downloadable content worth your time and money.
Let’s start with the biggest one, Breakpoint. It’s so big, it could feel rather awkward on your normal Slayermatch, but given its asymmetrical layout as well as an abundance of a wide array of vehicles, it feels right at home with Big Team Battle and objective-based game modes (especially Invasion, which literally screams to be played on this map). Considering the dimensions of the map, a healthy dose of communication with your teammates will be required in order to win, as well as a proper use of the vehicles at hand, which will clearly give tactical advantage to the team that use them best. In addition, there are Rocket Launchers, Spartan Lasers and Sniper Rifles, so even a mighty Banshee or Wraith is quite vulnerable if not used right.
Especially designed for Invasion: Breakpoint
Anchor 9 on the other hand, is a beautiful, detailed and completely crazy Slayer-friendly map. This UNSChangar bay surrounded by both human and Covenant forces fighting the hell out of each other, is pretty small, symmetrical and it offers some wepic space combat. Matches in Anchor 9 are frenzy to say the least; the stage forces you to start shooting almost as soon as you spawn, but still requires a fair amount of strategy from players in order to make good use of the tunnels, the open center area and the aforementioned space area to either ambush your enemies, protect a flag or to get stronger weapons. As you might imagine, this map is ideal for Free-for-allSlayerTeam Slayer and to a lesser extent; Capture the Flag.
Epic mayhem: Anchor 9
The last of the bunch, a valley surrounded by long forgotten Forerunner structures called Tempest, is the one I liked the least, but it’s still an interesting, wide-open and symmetrical map that’s best suited for team-based combat and sniper mayhem. It takes place in an open area with a beach, some caves, a downedLongsword and some mancannons that really enhance the sense of uneasiness inherent in the way you can be ambushed, or how the enemy team could approach a flag, or just how your head could be blown off by a skilled sniper. Bearing some resemblance to Relic, this map is just perfect for Free for All, Team Slayer, Big Team Battle and Sniper, with Capture the Flag being the flagship game mode of Tempest.
Sniper and CTF paradise: Tempest
These maps are nothing short of amazing. They were designed to be competitive, to force you to communicate with your teammates, to think about your course of action if you are to succeed, and above all, they’re there to be fun, and that’s their biggest achievement. In addition, they are absolutely gorgeous, and in my experience, they ran as smoothly as they possibly could. Perhaps the only minor issue I had was that the maps do feel like they were designed to be played on very specific scenarios, but hey, even when in not-so-ideal modes (like playing Team Slayer on Breakpoint) they are still insanely fun.
Julian’s Final Say: Overall, Halo: Reach’s Noble Map Pack is an amazing addition to an already outstanding game. Trust me, it’s worth every single Microsoft Point.
  • Those are gorgeous maps, featuring areas not found anywhere else in the game.
  • Breakpoint is for Invasion lovers whereas Anchor 9 is for those who like it close and personal.Tempest is a level in between, and a perfect map for Forge enthusiasts.
  • This DLC includes 7 new achievements worth 250GP. Some of them are really fun to unlock, like“Totally Worth it” and “Poppin’ & Lockin“.

halo reach vs modern warfare 2

modern warfare2 vs halo reach. I thought I would do a comparison between these two most played video games of all time, I will not Favorite any one of these game's, so if you came to here me bash one or the other, than you can leave. Any ways now that that is out of the way I can start comparing these two game's

vs

OK lets take the campaign out of both these games and not even talk about it, lets face it both these games are multi player based. Halo reach has a huge community, despite the huge community match making is way to slow and it gets annoying that it takes a half hour to play 3 games (yes its that bad) but that is one of halo reach's only weak points. There is an insane amount of different game types, ranging from a free for all to objective's or team battles, halo reach is not lacking at all in that aspect. Halo reach has a lot less hackers, the code is almost impossible to break and the weapons that are semi automatic have a cross hair bloom. (to eliminate any rapid fire controllers) I have honestly never found a single over powered weapon or armor ability in this game, its insane how well they balanced this whole game. The maps how ever are only OK because a lot of the maps are remakes from other halo maps, but if you are new to halo that should not bother you or become a problem at all. So over all halo reach scores a 9.5 in its multi player
Now lets look at modern warfare 2's multi player. Modern warfare 2 is the 6th game in the call of duty series, so it has a lot to live up to. First off lets look at the ability of finding games. finding a game in modern   warfare2 is really easy and great, when you go to play the multi player you choose the game type you want to play and then it puts you in a lobby and starts searching for people to play with you, while it is doing that it will search for games that it can put you in right away, while also searching for game lobby's you can join, so that part of multi player is great. As far as game types go, there is some objective games, free for all games, and team battles, but halo reach has many more game types. The weapons in this game are what really kill this game so many of them are really unbalanced, as well as the perks because of that it really takes away from the game play. I have seen people hack in this game and its really bad. (not saying that this happens a lot but it does happen)  This game has a terrible community, there are plenty of boosters in this game, so that really takes away from the multi player experience. So I give modern warfare 2  a 8.5

so there you go thats what I rate these games ( I like them both the same personally)
BOTH THESE GAMES ARE AMAZING AND CAN BOTH BE PLAYED, AND ENJOYED FOR YEARS. PICK BOTH THESE GAMES UP SOON

halo reach special edition console. Is it worth is?

this post is to help you decide weather or not the halo reach Xbox 360 console is worth is or not. First of all let me just say that it is a wonderful looking console

OK so you can see how great is looks in  the picture now lets talk about everything it comes with: it comes with not one but two! halo reach special edition controllers which retail for 60 dollars a piece, normally you will only get one controller for a console, plus they look really sweat

it also of course comes with halo reach (visit this link for full  review of halo reachhttp://haloreachskillz.blogspot.com/2010/11/halo-reach-review_14.html )
and it comes with a voucher for halo legends, which can be downloaded via Xbox live with a gold or sliver member ship.
OK so lets do the math here: halo reach 60.00 dollars one more controller than you would normally get, 60.00 dollars, halo legends 10.00 dollars so thats 130.00 dollars plus tax (the halo reach console is 399)
it is 100 dollars more than the other console, so you are actually saving money! Plus you are getting one sweet looking console, if you are a halo reach fan the I would highly recommend this console to you

here is the UN boxing of the halo reach console

Halo Reach Review

here is IGN's thoughts of halo reach http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iXmS6i_g4Zs here is a review of the halo reach console: http://haloreachskillz.blogspot.com/2010/11/halo-reach-special-edition-console-is.html here is my thoughts of halo reach: halo reach is the 4th game in the series but is a prequel in the story. Lets start with  the campaign. Halo reach has about a 6 or 8 hour campaign which is well worth playing again and again, but may be a let down  to any body that played halo 2 or halo ce, something that is a big issue with the campaign is the load times it may freeze for up to ten seconds which is a big deal, over all as far as the graphics go this is one of the best looking Xbox 360 games I gave ever played, the detail will blow your mind you can see the safety switch on the guns.
There are a lot of different features in halo reach including: Theater mode, match making, fire fight, Forge, and custom games, lets talk about the theater mode, theater mode lets you review any game play in halo reach you can save these films and latter download them from bungie.net. Fire fight is a feature in halo reach that allows you to fight off waves and waves of Enemy force's  this feature is fully customizable in many ways. Custom games allows you to customizes a multi payer game separate from match making.
Forge is a map editor witch allows you to edit a map in any such way you would like and is a very well done and thought out feature in halo reach, Lastly is match making, this is the real reason people buy this game. Match making is a way to connect to thousands of other halo reach players for team battles objective game types and much more, the amount of different play lists in match making is astounding and is being updated once every month to keep it fresh and fun. Over all this game is a must have Xbox 360 game, as well as a reason to own an Xbox 360
