halo reach, the warthog guide

=So judging by the title you may think this is going to be a simple post. Don't be fooled the warthog has more to it then you may give it credit for. So the warthog looks like this

There is different kinds of warthog, but I am going to only talk about your standard warthog.
Your standard warthog has: one machine gun mounted to the back, one passenger seat, and one drives seat. It travels and a medium speed and is very versatile.
So now that you have the specs and know what it looks like let me give you some raw juicy tips for it.
If you are in the gunners seat make sure to take priority on your targets. Let me explain what I mean by that. If there is two guys out in the filed, one has a rocket launcher, one has dropped his Xbox controller on the ground and is rapidly spinning in a circle, you are going to want to aim for the guy with the rocket launcher. Always take priority to your targets, its safe to say that 30% of warthog fails are do to not taking priority to your targets. Another tip for when you are the gunner, when you are going forward make sure to be pointing your gun forward, and scan left and right for any body trying to sneak up on you, make sure to communicate with your warthog driver, because your shield can drop and he will still have full health and be driving out in the open, one exception to always keeping the warthog gun forward is if somebody is tailing you.
Now as far as ridding shotgun on the warthog (the passenger seat) I would not recommend it, I say that because theres not a whole lot of damage you can do compared to the warthog gun. Now if you are driving

     then the number one thing is to not be stupid. That means don't try to pull of a crazy stunt (unless you are playing for fun and not hurting your team) stay on the flats be careful of grenades, one grenade blast can end your warthog spree. If you see a guy with a rocket launcher, don't try to run him down, because that will only result in your death. Call him out to your gunner (if you don't have a gunner than your being an idiot) and let him know were he is so he can take him out at a distance, and when you do kill the rocket launcher guy call out to the person ridding shotgun to go pick it up.
In halo reach (unlike any other halo game) the warthog has health instead of being linked to your shields, it will blow up if it takes much damage after its on fire. That doesn't mean you cant still get hurt on your own shields, you can still get sniped right out of your seat, so when your health is low make sure to take cover until your shields recharge. Let me warn you if your going for a perfection you should get out of the warthog when it catches fire.
