today I am going to talk about how to get a good game in halo reach. Which I have talked about in other blog posts, like:
how to get a good K.D.R:
how to get a perfection:
but I am going to talk about basic strategy's for getting a good game.
If you are new to halo then you might not even know what a good game looks like, so let me point out to any call of duty fans out there, that a 4+ K.D.R in one game, isn’t what I (or most halo players a good game) now I think it would be safe to say that something like an 8+ K.D.R in one game is good. I am not saying that 8+ K.D.R is a beast game, if you want to talk about a beast game then you should be at least 17+ K.D.R (if you don’t agree with me there feel free to leave a comment and let me know, because I will respond)
OK sorry about that I just needed to get all that stuff out of the way before I can get down to the real juicy tips.
so first off when you start the game you are going to want to go for the power weapons, let your team mates know which power weapons are still free, so none of your opponents get any unnecessary advantages over you and your team. Now that the part of the game were you all rush the power weapons is over you are going to need a secondary weapon (unless you were in beast mode and have two power weapons in your hands) I think its safe to say that the ideal secondary weapon should ALWAYS! Be the D.M.R no matter what, and just because I am special and I want to make your life easier I have a nice guide to give you every thing there is to know about the D.M.R. Just click: D.M.R.
now I am going to assume you have a power weapon and a D.M.R in your hands, you are going to want to stick to the edges of the map, because most of the time when you are walking on the edges of the map you will only run in to people by them selves, and if or win you do run into someone you are going to want to react as fast as possible.
If you want to improve your reaction times then play something like swat in halo, or call of duty black ops. Both of them require quick reaction to stay alive in.
When you are traveling the edges of the map you should always be headed some were that is going to get you kills, if you just sit in the corner of the map the whole game you will not see much action. so as you are just going to town and slaying every body in the game you are still should keep that handy 3rd eye on your radar, because any 5 year old playing halo reach can easily sneak up on you and perform a very embarrassing assassination.
on top of all that you want to take your time and not be reckless. What I mean by that is if you are shooting guy a guy and he escapes you by one shot and is hiding around the corner you do not want to rush in there and get the kill, because you don’t know if he has the rocket launcher shot gun or is just really good with timing his grenades.
Also make sure that in the back of your head you are keeping track of which power weapons will spawn next, and I give that out as a tip because so many people will camp the power weapons and rush them as soon as they spawn, but that doesn’t mean be the next idiot trying to get the power weapon when it spawns, what it means is that you should be the smart one waiting for those idiots to rush out in the open so you can get a quick and easy kill. The best thing about that is if when there re spawning and see you standing over there corpse (possible tagging them) and see you are not going for the power weapon they are going to come back and try again, and you being the smart player are going to be setting up another ambush and using that power weapon to help you. the last tip I am going to give you is. Just to practice. If you really want to get better at halo reach then that’s what its going to take.
